My Steps

I raise my eyes to the sky, to you my Lord.
For I am You, we are one, my path to explore.
Not sure, I'm not sure where I will land, if I ever will.
Traveling through life with an obscure view of the shore.

Covered by blue hues of happiness that seem endless.
Like the sea, that covers the earth the waters … blues and greens.
And yet,
As I look out and under it, I see, I feel a passion beyond the sea.
A depth of character that exceeds that which, You instilled in me.

Shades of gray follow my life, like rays of sun falling on earth.
Soaking up evil, my flesh a sponge a greed, I exceed my bounds.
Though there's no envy, just a spirit, it seeks to reclaim me.
A love, a depth not yet discovered, Oh Lord my passion to serve thee.

A calling not known, not known to me, I search for my place.
When death came knocking, the shots fired, fired towards my face.
To my knees the tears engulf me, like the blue green face of the sea.
I see, the calling that God laid gently, and particularly, for me.

Last Night

The rain falls all day.
Her smile replaces the sunglow.
Smile that lightens my heart.
Feelings of angry dissipate.
As we pray together good night.

Flowers blow the sun shines,
her glow.
Validates we – belong together,
Our foundation built upon God's guidance.
Though we journey different paths,
at times.

Morning comes a gentle kiss on the brow.
Conveys God's rest is upon us.
The rain fell yesterday.
The sun shines today.
Today our hearts are one, the night past.

Crying

Sobbing and weeping,
Lord, I cry to you.
My eyes fill, the red strain lens.
Do – I stand alone?

I cry to you,
How great thee mercy Lord.
I close my eyes,
Your death vivid in my dreams.

The flood flows down my face.
I fall to my knees.
My soul fills, I cannot see!
I'm not alone, I know by faith,
Blind faith

Convicted woman stand before God.
Allow the light within to shine.
Love be your favor and you guide.
A goddess on earth gentle and wise.

History records the woman's deed.
In Ruth, in Ester strong not meek.
You're a descendent from Sarah's womb
Bearing fruit that goes forth from you.

The light of God guides your heart.
A path to greatness you have evolved.
Let go that which binds your heart.
For Mary watched, her Jesus depart.

John followed his brother's command
Woman bear your rib from man
Heartache and joy your focus not shame.
Your children's faithfulness, you will gain.

God above, I 'm naked and bare.
Suited in armour, a worrior bold, yet fair.
Sacrifice bears a woman's heart.
Are you convicted, when standing before God?

My Dance

I'm in love, so I dance. Graceful is the dance.
Footsteps ordered for his glory surrounds me.
I raise my hands,
Lift my voice,
For the Spirit of the Lord, I dance.

I reach for the sky for my reward reigns high.
Wraped in faith, for He does not lie.
His promise of riches restores fleeing faith.
A rugged cross brought me to this place.

His voice sounded the death of sin.
In the voices of many, He lives.
The songs of David bring glory to His name.
I fall to my knees for in me, He lives.

Holding on, Nothing greater nothing wiser.
I'm reaching for the Lord my savior.
For His glory restores me.
I'm covered so I dance.
